Project Management & Construction
To achieve the desired out come on every project, the Project Management department relies on a team of experienced engineers and skillful professionals throughout all phases of the project – Planning, Execution, Delivery and Erection.
Execution
Project Management communicates the project requirements (schedule, specifications and scope) to all other concerned departments within Zamil Steel such as Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Control and Finance. Throughout the execution phase, the Project Engineer proactively monitors, controls and reports the progress of the project including material procurement, engineering, subcontracting, etc., and any associated variations to satisfy customer needs using the latest versions of Project Management Software.
Prior to starting shipment of manufactured steel to the construction site, the Project Management team assigns a Site Support Coordinator to assist the Project Engineer in providing service to Zamil Steel’s customers. The Site Support Coordinator makes site visits throughout this phase of the project and communicates customer needs to the Project Engineer ensuring efficient and timely response. When erection is in Zamil Steel’s scope of work, the Site Support Coordinator acts as a liaison between Zamil Steel’s Site Engineer and the Project Engineer to assist in satisfying all customers and erection subcontractors needs at the site.
In addition to the Supply, Fabrication and Delivery, Zamil Steel/ SSD through its Construction Department is also able to offer Erection Services.
Erection is carried out by Zamil Steel personnel or subcontracted out to qualified Erectors who work under the direct management and supervision of Zamil Steel.
A qualified site Construction Manager from Zamil Steel will manage the project whenever erection is under our responsibility.
Erection and Supply of Structural Steel carried out by Zamil Steel has the following advantages;
- ZS erectors are familiar with ZS piece marking system and erection methods. This will reduce time required during erection for other erectors in understanding ZS system of material supply and erection methodology.
- Eliminates time and efforts in solving disputes and claims raised by Erector due to delivery issues and mismatches, if any.
- Saves Client’s coordination between supplier and erector.
- Delivery can be adjusted to suit site conditions.
